There are automotive cupholders mounted to both sides of the cabinet.  The button layout is a street fighter II type, with the addition of a MK III "run" button to the bottom left.   There is an imperial trackball mounted in the middle, it works great for Golden Tee PC.

Chris,

Would you be willing to email me the artwork for your monitor bezel?  I really like what you have and would love to be able to modify it for my control panel and use it.  Please, please, please....I am rather artistically challenged.

The original files are Corel Photo-PAINT 10 files;  I'm putting it up at http://mywebpages.comcast.net/celamantia/mamecab/bezel.zip . PhotoShop might open them, I don't know.  Don't waste time downloading 8 MB if you don't have anything that can open a .CPT file!  :)

Thanx Chris!!  They are downloading right now, and with my broadband connection they will be down very quickly.  I'm not sure it I have anything that can open them but with all the software I have access to I'm sure that I can find something to open the files with.  Oh, they are finished downloading...less than 1 minute.   :)

Thanx again!!

I think those are speakers...if they're what i think they are, they're those crappy plastic sony car speakers.  LOL, they're called XPlode and the ones we have at work (best buy) on display actually exploded!  It was wicked awesome!

Rampy...

Actually, they are two 6" Car Speakers.... Powered by a 100w stand alone home stereo AMP, which sits on top of the cabinet.  The speakers do a fine job with emulation sounds, but I like the color and style.

Here's another pic.

cool... they *did* kinda look like mini steering wheels stashed under the cp though from the previous pic =P

Still pretty neat, regardless...

I've never seen half of these cabinets. Mine is gonna look so half-assed now... :P But I think I put the whole thing together for like $500 (including free parts). We'll call mine BudgetMAME. (Now if I can get a picture of the damn thing...)

They sure add up quickly, don't they?  :)

My first version was so cheap because the computer was free except the power supply; the cab I got on eBay for $61, and its control panel already had 2 Happ Ultimates, 12 buttons, two start buttons, and the cab had the glass, car speakers, and a complete coin door sans mechs; and for the interface, I hacked a free keyboard, which had an embedded trackball that I was able to make work in the cab.  My biggest expense was a monitor for $150.

Since then I bought a new motherboard and CPU ($150), side art ($70), trackball ($10), lightgun ($40), better joysticks ($16), Golden Tee and House Of The Dead 2 ($20), more buttons, more screws, etc, etc...
