How should I measure the angles for the 3 and 4 player on my cp?

Do you mean:
Should you angle the outside player's joysticks toward the screen or not, and if so, by how much?

Many people say they should not by tilted at all.

Personally, I distinctly remember playing arcade cabs where the outside players were not angled enough, and others where they were angled too much.  I haven't made a 4 player CP [yet], but I think I'll tilt the outside players a little bit, about 1/3 between straight up and pointing at the middle of the screen if I did a wide CP.  Having the CP shaped like gauntlet, however, I would not angle the outside players at all.

The biggest problem with tilting those joysticks is you couldn't use the CP (very well) in two player, two joysticks per player, games.

Those who actually built a 4 player CP will have more experience on this stuff.

I put my CP piece (with no holes cut yet) on a table in front of my TV the way it's gonna be set up, and play-pretend pushed "up", and went by that.

I've got them angled a little bit - not facing straight like the others, but not facing directly at the screen either.  And I'm building little "reference arrows" into the CP artwork that show which way the directions are.  :)

But, we'll see how well that works when it's done.

How do you make it symetrical when 3 and 4 players go in opposite directions how do you make sure they're equall?
