It looks like the auction says $9.99 each.

You get (2) joysticks for $9.99 + shipping.  They sell them on their website for $10.99 + shipping.  I was wondering about the quality.

They look just like Happ Super joysticks.  You might want to email them and ask.

In fact, I'm going to.  I could use a couple extra for spares.
Side Arms, Slam Dunk, Xybots, Arachnid Galaxy darts, Pac Man Plus, Dr. Who, Gauntlet, Centipede cocktail, Hyperball, Tempest, Star Wars, Xevious, Super Hang On, S.T.U.N. Runner, Galaga, Space Duel.

I was wondering about the quality.

According to a couple of people here they're nowhere near as good as Happs sticks+buttons...

I haven't tried them either but I'd stick (no pun intended) to Happs (or should I say Industrias Lorenzo? ;D) stuff...

I have 4 of them all bought from the guy you mention on e-Bay. I have no problems with the quality. I also have one Happs Super. I won't say the xArcades are better than the super, they're not, but they're definately less money and a good stick to boot.

Yes, this sucks big time and really pisses me off...I really hope Industrias Lorenzo, the makers of the Supers (yes, Happs just resells them and takes undue credit for that), will sue the X-thieves:

"Industrias Lorenzo's products are protected by Spanish and Foreing Patents (granted or pending). Industrias Lorenzo maintains an aggressive policy against infringement of patents, copyrights, or trademarks."
http://www.industrias-lorenzo.com/emp/Comp1.htm

I mean, the X-losers cannot even make a single thing of their own as even their case design is a patent rip-off of Hanaho's Hot Rod...

DON'T SUPPORT THE X----daisies---!

i know..i dont support the x----daisies---..i would just buy the parts and built some joysticks and sell..THINK...total cost to a dual would cost me around $50 and i could resell on ebay for $150 atleast...so if i built 5 in like a day...CHA CHING..extra $500 profit out of a weekend of work(that $500 would be very useful if you wanna buy crap like gamecube or x-box..hehe :P).

Also,These joysticks and buttons are cloned and imported from china(x-arcade sent happs joysticks and buttons and the chinese just cloned them)....HOW I KNOW?..because the walter guy from x-arcade told me ;D.

I mean, the X-losers cannot even make a single thing of their own as even their case design is a patent rip-off of Hanaho's Hot Rod...
well...the x-arcade solo is their own design but still CLONED from hotrod joystick(take a close look, that angle cut reminds me..err...got it..HANAHO's hotrod style ;)).

Do you even know what you are talking about? what's your beef with the x-arcade folks... fess up

to be relevent to the original post: I have the buttons and joysticks and purchased from the ebay guy... they work fine.  they have cheezier microswitches (non-name brand) not that you'd notice in gameplay...  *shrug* they work ok for me.. I'm sure happ supers (or IL supers) would feel better - but for the price they're great (and no 25 dollar happs minimum order)

*shrug*

good luck!

Very Funny Michele,

I don't want to fan a flame... but I'm asking you to clarify your position.  Do you have some information or proof or even a rumour that the x-arcade folks improperly manufactured their design for joysticks?  If I were to guess they probably buy them from IL.

copy pasting a badly written legalize paragraph from a website a lawyer does not make.

Making a similiar design joystick is not a crime - an exact dupe without permission, sure... but no one has an uber-umbrella patent or other ownership document of intellectual property over the concept of a joystick.

You seem like a reasonable person.  Demonstrate to this board that you have a brain and articulate you reasoning behind beating up the x-arcade folks.  (I'm sure one could have a legitamate beef with them, but not for the superficial/innacurate reasoning you posted above)

I wouldn't say that the X-arcade is a "patent rip-off" of the Hotrod. It is similar, that's true, but aren't all DVD players, bicycles, televisions, toilet paper rolls, tennis shoes, TV sitcoms, etc. (just to name a few) basically just rip-offs of the same respective ideas?

Maybe only the person who designed the very first control panel in existence was truly breaking ground. Just like all the examples above, all that came after the first were and are interpretations of an idea.

Plus, X-arcade has adapters for consoles, the Hotrod is only PS/2... Isn't that "a single thing of their own"?

I don't even own an X-arcade (although I just put in an order for joys and buttons), but it irks me when people like this guy come in and start spewing about hating this and hating that. Gimme a break.

I have some X arcade sticks and buttons, as well as Happs Supers and Happs horizontal buttons. (got a couple of Tsticks but they're different all together.)

The joysticks feel the same to me. The only difference I see is in the buttons. The X arcade button's plastic feels lighter, the Happs have a more solid feel when you press them. I like the responsiveness of the Happs ones better.

Saving a few bucks leaves room for beer and betting on games. ;D

I'm not going to jump into the rest of the discussions... :o

My 2 cents.

Used eBay's buy now to purchase 2 joys and 20 buttons on Jan 2 and they were delivered parcel post today Jan 8.  Really good delivery for parcel post from the US to Canada. Shipment was packaged well and all items were received in perfect condition.

Now the analysis.   The joysticks feel and look like Happ Supers. The buttons look the same on top but have a lighter spring and feel lighter to push.  The extrusion that holds the switch in place is thinner then a Happs but should not be a problem as no actual force is placed on this except when inserting and removing the switch.  The switch is marked with the X-gaming logo.

I think that they are a bargain.

Just My Opinion

Yeah they are good sticks. My friend has an X-Arcade stick and they fell really good. The only thing is on the circle thing that goes on the stick it says X Gamming. So what he did was he flipped them over. I mean if you dont care then it doesn't matter. Thanx.

Actually my only complaint would be the length of the buttons. I put them in 3/4" MDF, if I had 1/8" plexi on top I'm not sure the nut would even start on the button. Of course I could route out a 1/8 - 1/4" around the button area.

When it works out to 5.00 a piece for the sticks and .50 each for the buttons I'll make em work ;)

Thanks for the opinions.  I ordered 2 sticks last night.  BTW, these joysticks could be made out of "baby Panda bears" as long as they worked well and were priced right I'd buy them.  Just a politically incorrect joke.    :D

I just received my package of joysticks and buttons today and they look great. I wouldn't know the difference between a cherry microswitch and a strawberry one, so hey who cares? =)

When the X-Gaming first came out I contacted Hanaho to ask them about the similarities.  Best as I can recall X-Gaming and Hanaho either have an arrangement or an agreement that they don't have any conflicts with each other, other than regular competition of course...
