Stencil for Visio Users
« on: October 12, 2002, 02:33:59 am »
Here's a stencil you can use in Viso to lay out your Control Panel.  Lay it out, print it, tape it together, and get drillin!

Includes 1 1/8th pushbuttons, Joysticks (works for super, ultimate, competion, and wico) 3" Trackball, 2 1/4" trackball, Oscar Spinner w/plate, and Hard Drive spinner  ;D

Let's you lay out your panel and be able to see what room is taken up below the surface.

From within Viso select File, Stencils, Open Stencil...

Enjoy!

cool! thanks for sharing... I found laying out my cp in Visio and then printing it out was a very helpful step.

I haven't downloaded your stencils yet, but was wondering... what's the difference between your stencil pack and the one hosted in the byoac faq section?  Just wondering. (without looking/comparing)...

Whoops!  I didn't know these were offered in the FAQ section!  That would have saved me a lot of work!

Just downloaded them, sweet!  Mine has an Oscar template and a 2 1/4 trackball template so you can get them for that.

Visio is a fabulous layout tool for control panels.... I used it to lay out my panel using thhe BYOAC templates, printed it at full size to check the layout, exported the image at full size to lay the groundwork fr my CPO, and used smaller exported images in various instruction cards.
