I don't think it's *too* bad...it looks like a copy of the Jap/UK Taito/Namco cocktails minus the nice chrome bits, and with more fake wood (the lower section).

Hmm. What's ugly about it? It's pretty much a copy of japanese cocktails, with exception that the control panel should have a metal overlay.

But you're right in that it doesn't really look like it's meant for commercial use (despite their claims). There's a reason why the "real" manufacturers of arcade cabs made certain design choices, such as:

1. Fans usually were placed on the bottom pointing down. This kept fan noise as far from the player as possible.

2. They used metal grills to cover fans, for safety and durability. In a public setting, people can be jerks, especially with equipment they don't own. That grill this Voyager is using would be cracked in no time, with the fan getting damaged or little fingers getting sliced, and then comes the lawsuit!

3. Power buttons would be placed in hard to reach "hidden" areas. This voyager has a bright red power button right on the side. [In a public setting] you don't want people to be able to turn the machine on and off!

4. Tempered glass. This listing makes no mention of what kind of glass is in use.

Oh I just saw the fine print, this definitely is PC/emulator based: "Please note you are buying the machine, hardware and our interface technology. The rest of the software is shareware and as such supplied free of charge. Terms & Conditions Apply"

Definately not Mame based. - It uses Vantage and a custom front end.

Cheers
