You'll just have to cut a hole in the cabinet to fit the coin door. As far as wiring goes, its a piece of cake, its just microswitches that register the credits. If you've been able to hook up arcade joysticks, you won't have any problem.

Check out Happs for the coin door mechanisms...

Good luck!

Happs may have something  comparable to the door hinges. Like Snaaake said, check out a home depot.

I know that on my upright cab, regular hinges won't work. On my Balle/Sente cab, the cabinet is wood but the door on the cab in the front is metal. The hinges are welded to the door, then screwed into the wood of the cabinet from inside.

(The door I'm talking about  is a front access door, separate from the coin door.)

On a coin door, the hinges are part of the whole piece. You just have to cut the hole for the entire piece.

If you're dealing with a metal access door, you may consider re-fitting the cab with a wooden door, there's tons of hinges that you could use then.

It's kinda touch to tell what you're looking for. Do you have a pic of work in progress?

Word.

How do hinges hinder you from openning a door?  You are talking about the coin door?  You didn;t get a real arcade coin door then?  What are you trying to do?  Maybe someone has a better idea...

Sounds like we need a bit more information.

Are you talking about the door to the front of your cabinet, or about the coin door itself?  If you're talking about the door to your cabinet, we may need pictures to help.  Mine (home built cabinet) uses special hinges from Home Depot that allow none of the hinge to show at all.  If that's the kind of hinges you need, I can look at the package (I have a new set in the garage) and tell you the name.

I have similar doors on an old Atari cab.  You dont need hinges as they are part of the door assembly.  The doors come in a frame with hinges attached.  You have to cut a hole and mount the whole assembly with the mounting bits that they provide.

BobA, when you said a part of the door assembly...are you talking about the "Coin Door"?? If so where can purchase it? I check Happ Controls web site they got the coin door I want, but didn't see any frame with hinges attachment for my wooden cabinet. I would like the make my cabinet door open like the one showing in the pic. (Just in case someone haven't notice, those are not my cabinet)  :D

If you look at the color picture you supplied you will see the hinge assembly on both doors.  The doors have locks on them and open and close in separately in the larger frame or assy.  The hinges are piano type and go the whole left side of each door.

BobA, I'm not looking for the hinges that is on the coin doors...I'm acutally looking for the hinges that connect my wooden door with coin door on it to my cabinet. I don't think I explain too well...sorry.. this is the hinges I'm looking for...

They don't look like hinges, more like L brackets.

If I've read you right, the coin door has the hinges and it just needs bolting to your cabinet.

I'm not going to be using a coin door, so don't know a huge amount about them, but it does look from the pics you've supplied that you just need to cut the right size hole in the front of your cab, and then bolt the coin door into place.

Ah, I think I see what you mean. near the bottom corner of the door is a silver hinge.

I missed that first time round.

It looks like a kitchen cupboard hinge. If you open your kitchen cupboards you should see one similar.

I would imagine most DIY shops would sell them, if not, goto a place that sells flat pack kitchen units and ask if they have a couple of hinges spare that you either have for free/real cheap.

Failing that, dismantle your kitchen cupboards! :D

Those doors only slow you down when you're diving in for food anyway ;)

What hinge have you been looking for?  To me, the pic looks like it could be a Euro hinge but it is really hard to tell because the hinge is so small in the picture.  If you want to buy hinges online you could try Rockler.com.
