Does anyone use the chat room?

I've popped in a few times, but there never seems to be anyone else in there.

Is it just my bad timing, or is it not really used by anyone?

It's used all the time.  We don't talk no stop though, so don't pop in for 5 secs say: "Is anyone here?" and expect us to reply immediately.  We get those a lot and find it quite funny.

It's not that there are people in there and they aren't talking, it's that there's noone there.

Whenever I've been in, there's been Hal (who I presume is a bot to keep the channel open) and that's it.

I just tried logging in......it seems my address has been banned.  That's nice, considering I've never even been in there before.

hey...mine too..of course PJ probley did that on purpose and now cant figure out how to unban .
I could care less about chating but things should be fixed you know..like unban my IP or something(I had 3 different IP in last few month and i still cant get in there,it says "receiving data" and i really dont receive anything.

New year, new start.  All chat room bans have been lifted.  Don't forget they're just as easy to put back, please follow the same rules in the chat room that we request for the message boards.  Thanks!

Yeah, I am in the chat room quite abit.  Though most of us who are in there regularly are in there toward the late night (10-11 CST).

I like it, I haven't been there as much as I would like. It would be better if more people used it. Its a lot nicer for me now since they allow a regular IRC program to access it, instead of the web front end. Not that there's anything wrong with the web front, I just didn't like it. I'm sure its great for people not used to IRC.

Update your jvm?  What version of browser you use?

If not, you can use mIRC.  Add server irc.datasync.com.  room #byoac

The PC I'm using at the moment has IE 5.00.3502.1000.  Client PC so I think I'll leave it as it is.  But at least I know what to do if I find this problem on my PC.

Well, I updated it to IE 6.0.2800 and still no chat room.  All that comes up is a square on the screen that is grey and in the bottom bar it says load: class ConferenceRoom not found.

SirP, where can I get this jvm?  From Microsoft or is it from Sun
