A little advise for a Wisconsinite needed
« on: July 05, 2004, 11:30:22 pm »
Hi all,

I'm new to the build your own scene and having finally gotten permission from the wife I have decided to go ahead and MAME a cabinet for myself.  I bought the book and have lurked for about a  month.

I have one question for the forum vets though.  I missed the superauction sale in may here in the Milwaukee area and I am trying to find a gutted cab to clean up.  Does anybody have any recommendations for any places to check?

I'm just north of Milwaukee in West Bend but would be willing to travel a little bit to get the right deal.  Any recommendations would be appreciated thanks.

I'm in Greenfield/Milwaukee...try this:  Head to your local bar (It may be tough to find one, right? ::) ;D) and look at the sticker that's sure to be on a game they have....that's the place they bought/rent the games from...give them a call and see if there's any luck, otherwise, check superauction's site tomorrow, they're supposed to post an updated schedule...I saw one listed in August, but then it disappeared and then they took ALL of the listings  down....mebbe they'll schedule another one soon.

There's really not a whole lot of arcades around here much anymore, but if'n you really want, I'll check with my wife, she may want me to get rid of the pole position I've got (it's gutted, with nothing whatsoever in it except the pedal, wire up the wazoo, and two bulb sockets in the marquee area.  Let me know and I'll see if she wants it gone.  It's her future game, so that's why I gotta ask her.

Check ebay as there are some cabs there and then there is an auction in southern indiana as well endof July.  THat may be pricey.

If all else fails you can check with the wife.  I know I would hate to have to ask the wife something like thatso let me check around first.

Thanks.
