Actually I do not recommend MAME32 (I haven't tested it myself).  From my site:

MAMEWAH is an ArcadeOS inspired frontend for DOS / Windows commandline M.A.M.E. (NOT MAME32)

...but that said I know some people do run MAME32.  All I can suggest for starters is to try the Windows Commandline version of MAME instead, or perhaps some other users might be able to help.

PS This should be in the Software Forum.

I think you should be able to just place mame.exe into your MAME32 folder, and then change the Emulator Executable in MAMEWAH to mame.exe instead of mame32.exe.  The rom/snap folders should remain the same.

I can't see any problem with that but if you have any probs try extracting MAME to a new folder...

BTW Make sure you get the Windows Commandline version, often people think this is the same as the DOS version since it runs from a commandline, but it isn't :)

Sounds like you have something in Emulator Settings > Execution Settings setup wrong...try wiping your \MAMEWAH\Files folder and starting again, the default settings are correct for MAME.
