Couple of stupid questions about Oscar spinners
« on: January 24, 2004, 06:19:30 pm »
My Oscar Vortex spinner and Tempest knob arrived today.  I can't hook it up till my Happs and Ultimarc orders arrive, but I have two easy questions:  1.) Does it matter which way the spinner is mounted?  Either horizontally or vertically?  2.) It came with the knob attached.  Do I just pull this knob off to mount it?  Or is there some technique I need to use?  I don't wanna start tugging and pulling if this is only gonna damage it.  Thanks!

1.   No.

A 5/64" hex (Allen) wrench is required to remove the knob, same as used on the original Tempest spinner knobs.  See http://www.oscarcontrols.com/files/OSCAR_Installation.pdf for additional info on installing your spinner.  If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to email me at info @oscarcontrols.com.

I didn't see that PDF listed on the website.  Anyways, the smallest allen wrench I have is 3/32.  I guess it's one more thing I need to pick up.  I have the feeling, however, I may be e-mailing in the next couple days:)

Hey OSCAR, you know that Vortex that I've had for, like, months?  I'm thiiiiiiiis close to finishing my CP and cabinet.  Just thought I'd let ya know that it's not going to be spending its life in a box somewhere.  ;)
