Glass scratches

I had a little problem which caused some light scratches on my new arcade monitor and also on the glass which covers it.    

There are several products out there for fixing this kind of scratch. What do you all recommend?

<p>If it is brand new, what is the warentiee?  You might be able to return it.  I'd check that out first.
<p>Can you live with it as is?  If not I'd try a glass wax first, which might fill in the scratches good enough that you can live with it.   With some smoked plexi over the monitor and perhaps it will be invisiable.
<p>Last resort is to polish the glass, but I don't like the idea of that. Polish works be removing glass.  CRTs are can implode if the glass is weakened too much.   Obviously there is a margin of safety because the scratch didn't cause it to implide, but how much is there I don't know.  A really deep scratch might need so much polishing that you weaken the tube too much.   I don't know much about it, but I wouldn't do it unless I had verified I wouldn't go past the margin of safety with my work.

Yep, brand spanking new.   One year warranty. I guess I'll contact them.

I've got tinted, tempered glass covering it. That's what caused the scratches, the glass rubbing over the surface of the CRT.

I don't think the scratches are deep enough to justify that risk.

I would take a look at some of the automotive window repair kits. They seem to be pretty cheap really. You could always call someone in your area who repairs windows regularly and ask them if they know of any products that would help you out.
Not sure if ace hardware or the like would really have any experienced enough people to give you an honest asnwer.
Also, you could call someone in your are who does automotive repair service whos specialty it is to take of cars that have been in major wrecks and stuff. They might know of something also.
