Midway style cabinet to sell
« on: October 07, 2003, 10:08:25 pm »
This isn't my cabinet, but the gentleman who built mine has another one he is trying to sell. I can't say enough nice things about the guy or the quality of his work. It is a newly constructed mdf midway style cab.

The email goes like this

The other cabinet that I built for that guy is available, since he flaked out on me. If you have any friends that might be interested, give them my e-mail address and tell them to contact me. I'll send pics.

I believe the asking price is 400.00 If interested you can contact him by email Craig275636@aol.com

Just thought I woudl share for those people who didn't want to pay 1000 for a slickstik frame

You might want to be more specific.

In the general arcade collecting world a "Midway cab" describes the basic cabinet used by Midway (with many minor alterations, but the parts interchange), from 1979 to 1983 for Galaxian, Pac, Ms. Pac, Galaga, Rally-X, Bosconian, Gaplus, and Super Pac-Man.

But around here I have seen half a dozen people say "Midway cab" in reference to the Mortal Kombat/NFL Blitz style wide cabinet. Those are commonly called either "Mortal Kombat cabinets", "New Style Midway cabinets" or "a waste of a good monitor" depending on who you are talking to.
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

I think thoes cabs are made by Dynamo anyway.  Midway just used.

he is in La Habra,CA(orange county).Yes he will build it out of whatever you want but if the wood you want to use costs more than mdf the price would reflect the difference. The cab you see in the picture was made for a guy that wanted a plywood cp box instead of mdf like the rest of the cab. My dad built it then the guy flaked out. The guy turns out to be the same guy that burned me for some street fighter side art a couple months ago.
