Perfect 360's
« on: July 30, 2003, 09:55:57 pm »
I've read pretty much all the info including OSCAR'S latest review on the P360. What I have got out of it so far is that it is a great stick, good for fighters etc.
What I need to know is the performance for games like Time Pilot, 1942 or KikiKaiKai, you know what I mean?
Thanks in advance

Since most classic and typical side scroller & platform games don't require any special moves, you can expect the P360's to perform just as well or better than any of the common Happ sticks when used with them.  The most notable difference in the P360 is that they don't favor the diagonals as much as a typical Happ 8-way where you are hitting diagonals at least 65% or more of a 360deg rotation.  The P360's use optics to dictate the position of the actuator giving you very discrete directionals and you don't see as much overlap between direction changes.

Thanks bud.
By "discrete directionals" do you mean you found it harder to hit the diagonals than say the Super or other "microswitch" joystick?
What I'm basically asking is I can get pretty cheap 360's should I put them in my cab? I know there is the whole subjective thing and I don't want to start some sort of joystick war but.........

I have 2 supers and 2 P360's.  I like the 360's much better.  I would recommend them over the supers.  I think it is slightly harder to hit the diagnols on the 360's, but not in a bad way.

360's for cheap!?  Mine costed a fortune!  >:(

I posted this in some other thread, but I guess it doesn't hurt to post it twice.

Well by cheap I mean the same price as Happ but without the postage from the US of A.
I am in New Zealand so I'm sorry guys but unless you are in Godzone it's not gonna mean much to you. Sorry if I got everyone a bit excited. One thing it did do though is tell me that 360's must be great coz everyone wants to get their hands on them so thankyou and sorry.

Alan17 I tried to message you but I get an error. As above these 360's are only "cheap" for me because I can save on the shipping from Happ. Sorry if I got anyone excited.

The power are not tabs...but rather wires that attach directly to the unit
