RFM On Ebay
« on: July 08, 2009, 01:16:26 pm »
I saw this while cruising ebay for pins.

Here

I thought they typically sold for a bit more than this.  Any ideas?  I am not overly interested in this machine, just curious.

I don't think it's working. It says it's in great shape, but apparently that refers to cosmetics and not function. It's sold AS-IS, so it's probably busted.

I was wondering about that.  It says all the mechanics are working fine, but how do you know if all the mechine itself doesn't work?

The market right now for these is all over the map... I keep hearing about guys getting them well under two grand but then you see so many on the market for more than that.  Don't know of any moving for more than two grand but a lot of people seem to think they will...

I paid $300 for mine and would not pay more (of course that was a deal  :afro:). If the Nucore system can spark the creation of new tables, then it would definately be worth more.

I'll give you 400 for it.

That is what Nucore is for. Great product for machines like this. That is how one day I plan to add a P2K to my collection, buy a dead one (~$1000 at most), slap Nucore in it(~$400), clean it up(~$100 in rubber kit, flipper rebuild kit, and Novus) and then it is brand spanking new (priceless).

Yeah, I tried that, back before NuCore was even out.  As soon as the community got wind of NuCore even the dead prism RFMs were $1500.

I have places to get them cheap.... I had a chance to buy a P2K for $800 and Nucore was announced. I didn't know about it at the time(found out about it a week later from Pinball News) or I would have jumped on it.
