Not much time over for the build currently, work work and the motorcycles need some attention now when the "season" is over.

But had my friend cut and bend the front cover for me this week, will look spiffy once it's black :D

Next step is to build the cabinets to hold both computers and act as legs for the desk.

So, Well, you know how it is when you have the weekend off, no obligations and your main goal is to work on your project?
Well, then you hear of this game right that is totally awesome right.
I ended up playing "Ori and the blind forest" almost the entire weekend instead of working on my FlynnDillinger-desk.

But managed to get some hours in at least and got the frame painted with a primer/base coat color turned out alright,
not perfect, but since it probably won't be visible at all then it will do.

The only visible part is the leg-crusher front, it has some marks, will try to scuff em out when the paint has hardened.
But the plan from the beginning was to cover it with semi-gloss black vinyl, will have to decide once the glass is on.

Thank you guys!
Really appreciate the pep! :D

Well, I have now managed to get the base of the legs/cabinets mocked up,
they need some adjusting here and there, mostly the mounting holes for the metal frame needs to be adjusted up on the left side and in on the right.

The doors will be a real pain to get right, the right one is fine, but on the left one something is skewed
and at the moment I don't know if it's the door or the surrounding panels.
Since I routed the middle line I really need to fix that to get it to line up!

With the frame fitted I also tried test fitting the Screen, the QI-charger and the EL background light for the Encom logo.
The result was that I need to adjust the fittings for the Screen (so I can slide it back a bit
since the viewing angle when sitting shows a bit to much of the screens frame at the bottom)
and I need to get some proper spacers for the charger and EL-Background made so it fits tight against the glass!

The QI-Charger works well, but it's still a bit picky about the placing,
you have to really be dead center of the circle with the phone to get the connection,
so lucky me that I decided to do a circle. So I know where to put the phone ^_^

Next thing on the list is to make the top parts of the cabinets (that will hold the amp, card-reader and DVD),
make the adjustments and drill up holes for all the cables. Then it's of to sanding and paint!

Ohh, and this is what the charger "module" looks like under the glass, had to cut the plastic of the charger to get it to fit, but it's better now  :afro:

Added some hot glue to make it stay and we are good to go!

Just curious if this was ever finished?  I was watching Tron Legacy this morning and was reminded of this amazing project.

This project is not finished, but it's on hold awaiting motivation, after I managed to break the touchfoil I kind a lost the spark. I got a replacement last week however (needed a smaller touch film for another project and ordered the replacement at the same time).

The table is almost done, it needs some finishing touches and the cabinettes need to be painted.

I know that feeling.

This is a great project and I'll be glad to see it whenever it is finished.
