Has anyone repro'd the Star Wars Yoke handles yet??

The originals are cast aluminum.... Personally, I have a set of originals and I'm not sure I'd want anything less. (cast of plastic, I mean.)

I'd be surprised if anyone around here wanted to go to the trouble of casting aluminum!

Maybe people would want them of plastic? I dunno. I'd also be happy to be proven wrong.... It would also be weird if I supplied the originals for these handles too...
If you build a frankenpanel, chances are I don't care for you as a person.

ROFL :laugh2:.... Give me chance to get the TRON ones out of the way first, and we'll see how people feel about them after that Brad.....

Most bottles and jars contain at least twenty-five percent recycled Pacman.
And research indicates that Space Invaders are strongly attracted to people who have recently eaten meat pies.

I dont know.
Personally I wouldnt mind a resonable priced plastic repro, instead of "Trying" to find a very expensive original one.
And cheap repos will keep people from getting mad from taking a rare (and getting more rare) original and just putting it into a Mame machine and not a original cab.

Happ sell the plastic grips for the Star Wars yokes.  They are a different style, but I think they look good although I'd prefer aluminum to plastic.

Slight correction, I think?

Although, you can buy the newer yoke handles from Happs.  The part to mount the handles is a separate piece on newer yokes can not be bought.  On a star wars yoke, the inner part of the handles and this mount are the same piece.

Yes, once finished with the Tron project, you must then begin work on a complete Star Wars solution: we'll worry about the innards, but you handle the shell...

Also, AFAIK the Happs handles are different. They're completely functional but not exact replicas of the original SW handles.

Hi.

I've been searching for an Atari Star Wars Yoke for several months.

Then I picked up a Road Riot (Atari) steering wheel.

After a few weeks looking at it and wondering what to do with it I made a real good working yoke of it. I installed a kind of lever and a strong spring that will pull it back when released.

I attached it onto a piece of wood with a hole in its middle. The lever goes through the hole and moves a pot when the yoke is moved forward and backward.

I used an A-Pac for connecting to the PC. It works very fine.

I don't have some pictures here but if you like I can post some.
