Next project, a Mini arcade build with Raspberry Pi

I have started working on a Raspberry Pi based mini arcade cab. Not sure of the design yet as I can't decide between a bartop or standup style cab design or a portable style where the monitor folds down or whatever. Anyway, my setup and testing is currently using a 7" lcd monitor, but it is to small for what I want.

For those who have created mini cabs, what size monitor did you use or prefer? I am thinking between 10" and 12" but can't decide. Project will be based on what size monitor I choose.

At this point also, I am just going to use an xbox 360 controller because I don't think I will enjoy using regular arcade controls in a mini configuration, but that may change. I may set it up for both since it will include console games, but who knows, that is how I have my full-size cab setup.

I am building this as more of a novelty since my full size cab is complete and I need a winter project.

My build is somewhere in between a nanocade and a regular bartop.  It is small enough to carry around but big enough to have full single  player arcade controls.  I used a 14" laptop monitor and I like the size, don't think I'd like to go any smaller.  Its just a couple lines down in this forum if you want to check it out.

I like your build. I just ordered some of the parts. I think the mini's are neat, but after looking at them some more, the tiny screen may make the game play less enjoyable.

 I am probably leaning towards a WeeCade style, or small upright at this point. Will be looking at monitors next week sometime.

I have a lot of thinking to do and plenty of indecisiveness to go with it at this time.

Good thing I am not in a hurry to get this done
