Real World Racing - top down racer using aerial photographs
« on: September 22, 2013, 09:56:42 pm »
Interesting idea.  It's an old school top down racer, but the twist is that the tracks are made from high res aerial photographs.

From the video, the gameplay reminds me of Drift Out.  I couldn't find much info on the controls.  One review said it supports x360 controllers, but was perfectly playable with a keyboard.  (They were annoyed that the analog stick wouldn't navigate the menus, but the D-Pad would)

It's on sale now at greenmangaming, but I already have a huge backlog.

Ran one race on the demo and liked it a lot more than I thought I would.  (even though I came in last)
You can change the camera to rotate with the car which makes it very playable on a driving cab.
Definitely has an arcade feel, although I suspect that you need to take perfect lines to do well.

It seems that adding zombies makes just about everything better...

80% discount for base game, expansions on discount too!  All for $3.91

I haven't played, but I really enjoyed Death Rally and 1000 Great Migila.

Guess I have to buy it now.
The demo played pretty well on my old driving cab after switching the camera to make it rotate with the car.

On sale through 5/26

See that`s proof positive, just driving about in normalcy was just not quite enough, but add some undead carnage and you are hooked.

ZOMBIE`S MAKE EVERYTHING BETTER  ;D !.
There I said it.

I kind of like this.  Not usually a fan of top-down racers, but it looks interesting.
