Help with nulldc remembering controller/joystick
« on: October 31, 2015, 12:17:34 pm »
Hello All.....Have my emulation setup almost complete except for this annoying issue with nulldc. I have two Xbox 360 mortal kombat arcade sticks that I use for my main controllers. All were mapped perfectly and working fine to roughly 6 emulators: mame, project64, Nestopia, kega, snes and nulldc. Since my pals and I are old goldeneye junkies on n64 I bought 2 may flash n64 to USB adapters. Got those working fine for project64, however when I launched nulldc I noticed that instead of the controller mapped to "mk 360 fight stick" which is how my PC recognizes my arcade sticks, nulldc sees USB controller instead, which is the may flash adapter. Under the purpur plugin I can still select the fight sticks and map them correctly however eve time I close nulldc it forgets them. Please help

I sometimes have a similar issue with nullDC not remembering my controller settings. It seems like it doesn't revert your settings when it closes, but rather it restores default settings when it opens. So on the machines where I have this problem, I make nulldc.cfg read-only after I configure my controller and exit the emulator. Then the next time it runs, it can't over-write my settings.

I too had the cfg file set to read only, but couldn't remember why.  I'm using a fairly old build of NullDC, so wasn't sure if it applied.
