Newbie Question about Groovymame
« on: August 07, 2014, 08:19:36 pm »
I have just added your groovymame to my arcade cabs ( amazing !!! ) so smooth!!  And no lag

I'm am very impressed

because GM is adjusting the resolution and synch on the fly the Ini folder is empty... And I have a lot of games that are too loud...

Where do I edit the game volume separately

I have my GM mame ini file but it looks like a universal one setting for all

E.g Batrider way too loud on default

If you can help...

Keep the good work this is what the community has been waiting for

What about if I create an specific INI file from my MameUIfx to adjust the volume of the audio per game then run via Groovymame?

Or will that upset all the GM auto settings....

I don't have a volume button my cab and some games like Nitro ball are ear cracking loud and others like
strikers 1945 are very quite on default

If anybody can help ( :

If you create game specific ini files and override the universal volume setting in those you should be fine.

Hi Giddygoon,

Do as Cools says. Remind to only add the specific options you want to override (with respect to mame.ini). In your case, just the volume options. If you just copy the full mame.ini and rename it as thegame.ini GM won't work properly.
Important note: posts reporting GM issues without a log will be IGNORED.
Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.

Hi there,

Yeah, I copied my original INI files then just deleted everything apart from the sound section..... takes a bit of time to do but it works....

Volumes now balanced on my Shooter cab....

Thanks for your help and I have to say has made some games really come to life like i have never seen before.....
