Best Stylus for Rock Ola
« on: January 19, 2013, 07:33:44 am »
Hello again,
I recently had a problem with my Rock Ola 471 which I was able to rectify. Thanks again to all members on this site that contributed ideas. Now that everything is up and running fine, I am wondering whether I should change my 20 year old stylus? It works fine, but I have been reading about modern upgrades. Should I go for a modern stylus, do they produce a better quality sound and where would I find one for this model?
Thanks in advance, Steve.

Stick the original Shure cartridge and stylus.

Hello Steve,

As Ken says stick to the original Shure cartridge, it will be more than likely the M44 you can get an orginal styli for these but the Swizz substitute styli are very good. If the cartridge is bad then your best option is to get the Shure M44-7 cartridge that is used by some DJ's for cratch.

Alan
