Auto KVM ps/2 switch not detecting IPAC to pc keyboard
« on: January 12, 2010, 10:19:20 pm »
ok so I have the ipac ps/2 going into the auto switch which goes to the PC and to the playstation 2 ultimarc adapters.............. the playstation 2 ultimarc adapter connect fine when that port on the switch is selected, but when the pc port is selected the switch doesn't pass the commands from the ipac through to the pc ps/2 port............ any ideas? Im using Win XP... sometimes it will pass it through if i press randomly all my buttons on my arcade panel ......... if i plug the ipac direct to my pc ps/2 port then it works fine............. thanks

the ipac require's power through the ps2 so if you auto kvm has no power to it then that may be the problem try pluggin in the ipac straight to the pc and see if it works if so the kvm is the problem as it has no power to it nor a pass through perhaps.

sorry I re-read your post again it sounds like the kvm is the problem to me perhaps a short or it just does not let the power through does your ipac light even come on when it is in the faulty state?
