My Newest Pin - Theatre Of Magic
« on: December 19, 2009, 09:17:18 pm »
I Have The Magic!

While on the road for work I was able to play a ToM at a poolhall a handful of times and really enjoyed it.

I came across a local ST:TNG on ebay recently.  I was not interested in it at the asking price, but figured I would take a look.  In the pics next to the ST:TNG I saw a ToM.  I emailed the guy asking if he would sell the ToM.  The guy wasn't overly looking to sell it, but said make an offer and he would consider it.  Three weeks later he says he would sell it and the deal was done.

It is in very nice condition and 100% working.

In general I prefer stop and aim pins, but I really like this fast paced, flow and go machine.

Anywho, here is a pic of my new toy.

Thanks Knave Jack.  I have had my eye out for a ToM for about a year.

Those are some sort of plastic furniture "foot" protectors or something.  The guy set it up with them, they came from his house.  He said they would scratch the floor so I put wash clothes under them.  It is a temporary setup until I can get the machine moved to my basement.

So Jim, is there a particular reason you do not have a ToM or AF?

Hahaha, hohoho. That's a good one right there?

Allow me to cut off a long-winded response: He's a poor, cheap bastid. Just like many others among us.

Didn't you recently purchase a POTC?   ;)

It wasn't cheap, but I worked a lot of overtime this year.  Most of the money went into savings, but you do have to treat yourself a little bit.  For me, this is my favorite pin.  That is the main reason I bought it.

Congratulations on the purchase, this is my favorite pinball machine back in the day when I wasn't playing street fighter or mortal kombat.  How much did you end up getting this beauty for?
