Original DOT Push/Pull Spinner (NH, USA) [SOLD & SHIPPED]
« on: December 12, 2009, 05:53:17 pm »
It's that time of year when I need some extra cash.  Unfortunately that means the chopping block for my DOT spinner.

Hopefully I can get this in the hands of a board member but if not I'll be ebaying this thing in a few days.

I've removed almost all the rust and gave all the moving parts a very light coat of 3 in 1 oil.  It spins quite well but I've never spun a new spinner so I have nothing to compare it to.  The Push/Pull action is easy and the springs keep it centered well enough that the leaf switches aren't activated.  The knob looks to be in pretty good condition if you ask me.  I've posted a few pictures for your consideration but if you want more from any other angles feel free to ask.

I had hacked on (without modification to the original parts mind you) the guts from a USB ball mouse.  A couple wires have come loose though so I removed it and put back on the original optic board.  I will include the hacked mouse and if you want to use it you'll have to reattach a wire or two.

The price is going to be $55 shipped inside the con-US.  If you're elsewhere, we'll see if we can figure it all out.

If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

It looks as though it might...

Seawolf, I replied to your PM and you have logged in since I did that.  Did you read it?  Do you still want this?  There is less than 2 weeks until Christmas and I need this sold ASAP.

I'm sorry to have to do this but I'm going to have to move on to m_mcgover.  I will give you until 8pm EST tonight, Monday the 14th.

m_mcgover, I will get back to you shortly after that.  If you can paypal me tonight I will get to the post office tomorrow and you will have time to wrap this thing up for yourself for Christmas!

Well, I'll turn around and offer this up for sale.  Everything is as described as before.  I was lucky enough to get a GGG TT-HL so I will keep that one instead of the original spinner.
