I disagree! I can't get even a free PC interfaced to connect to a CGA monitor, even using a keyboard hack as the control interface for less than the cost of one of those boards!

I am getting them brand new for less than $50. In the 10 cabinets I've done, none have failed so far. Do not ask me about where to get them though... :police:

You can... but why be a dick?  Are they bothering you that much?  Seriously.

Where are you going to get an old PC and all the components required to run it on a CGA monitor and interface with a joystick for $50 or so (be it in actual dollars or time required to hack something)?

Waay cheaper?  Nope.

Ginsu Victim:

I tend to use free computers and free CRT PC monitors, but you're right. I didn't think about the cost of key encoders and whatnot.

Plus PC monitors displaying classic arcade games = FAIL (for the most part).
