High Scores
« on: November 07, 2009, 04:11:38 am »
This may be a ridiculous question that can be answered very easily, but I just can't seem to find it :dunno.  How do you save your high scores?  I get a high score on a game proudly put in my initials.  The next time I load it, my score is gone.  Not a huge deal I guess, just frustrating.  Thanks for the help, sorry for the stupid question.   :lol

Mame doesn't come with high score support built in natively, but you can compile your own version with high score support. While you're at it, you might as well remove the nag screens too. Compiling your own version of mame is not too hard, I figured out the process and did it myself in about 2 hours, and that's coming from ground zero knowledge.  ;D

Here's the link to Headkaze's Mame Compiler Thread.

Thanks SmallTown!  This could be a lot of fun.  Appreciate the point in the right direction.   :notworthy:
