Touchscreen software - recommendations and suggestions!
« on: November 01, 2009, 03:51:16 pm »
Well, it's all up and running - and I'm very impressed. I'm happy with the jukebox software I have (SK Jukebox) but I was just wondering what other touch screen apps there were out there... that aren't jukebox. I probably won't over complicate the design of the interface by making it anymore than a jukebox but depending on what else is out there I may add some more features...

Any recommendations or suggestions?

Cheers Dave.

Yeah, I'm actually familiar with Simpletouch - if I adopt more than just the jukebox that would probably be my frontend choice - Lars was really a helpful chap too!

Got loads of PopCap games too if I decide to install them.

Just wondering whether there is any other good programs... although, other than music and games I'm not sure what else you'd want... ::)

+1 SimpleTouchFE
+1 PopCap Games (Gamehouse games too)

As for other programs..... maybe something like a picture viewer.

I've got my jukebox, SWP pub quiz games, Hidden Object games and Popcap games set up, but I'm looking for a suitable internet browser with an integrated virtual keyboard. I've searched but for some reason I can't find one. It only needs to be a simple browser (preferably full-screen) but I'd like a basic on-screen keyboard present at all times at the bottom of the screen or something. Anyone know where I can download one?

I've been working an on-screen keyboard all day to try and integrate into Xlobby, for a browser skin. My plan is to have a button in Xlobby toggle it on and off when needed. I'm learning a bit of coding as I go. I started with a script someone had, and have since learned how to position it and how to add a space bar and backspace button. Anyway, this is a very basic keyboard and it opens up in the bottom most right hand corner of the screen. You close it out by hitting the escape key, on your real keyboard. It's fugly but it works. It's also a work in progress, but I'm done with it for today...actually I might just call it quits on it cause of the headache I have at the moment that it has given me!
