« on: August 19, 2009, 07:25:27 pm »
Hi there im finishing my mame cabinet, and started with the software part, now im on the sega model 2 setup and the control configuration sucks, well first its not a good config for i-pac, beacuse the controls are z,x,c,v, and second i have to input a new config to Every game, one at a time, so i as if anyone here as the imput files ready for i-pac.

You could use an app like GlovePIE; it will re-map keyboard input to what ever keys you like, just launch it before your emulator.

I did this using MameWah. Example:

pre_emulator_app_commandlines      c:\glovePIE.exe -newprofile.pie{nowait}{autoquit}
emulator_commandline                        c:\emulator.exe
So a leper walks into a bar and as he gets his beer, a finger falls off. The bartender who is serving him turns and pukes all over the place. The leper, feeling bad, says, "Was it my finger falling off?" The bartender turns to him and says, "No, it's the guy dipping chips into your back."

I'm using Nebula's Sega Model 2 emulator ver 1.0.

After launching a game (while it's running) go to Game/Configure Controls...

There you can remap any keyboard stroke to any new key. This is what I did so it would work with my X-Arcade tankstick.

I'm still working on a solution for key to quit the emulator using a different keystroke. No luck yet.
