project cab in Cleveland, OH for sale - about 2/3 done.
« on: August 18, 2009, 03:13:15 pm »
I've been working on my cab for about 4 years now and I just can't seem to finish it up the way I want it and I'm losing the desire to put this work in just to play a few games of Ms Pac Man.

Here is what it up for sale:
- completed cab kit from an ultimate arcade II pattern.  Made from cabinet grade birch plywood.  Currently, it is stained green on the bottom, and green on the top, but I sanded most of it off so you can really only see the stain very lightly on the top.  It's clearcoated to a very nice and shiny finish (I can take some pics if people really want to see that).  I will throw in the rest of the stain and the clearcoat as well.   Honestly though, this was something that I wanted and I figure if someone buys it they will paint it anyway, but if you like it - all the better!

- It has yellow t-molding all the way around.
- 2200+ Athlon proc PC with 256 MB RAM, video card (with s-video out), and DVD+-R/W, mouse and keyboard.  Valid copy of WinXP Pro will be provided.  TinyXP is on it now, but will be wiped for legal reasons.  YOu will get a license on the case as well as the dell restore CD.
- blue light-up trackball with the LED mod so you can adjust the brightness and it is REALLY bright!  I'll include the old incandescent bulb too if you want it.  The trackball has both PS2 and USB options.  I can't remember the brand.
- mag stick plus joystick - red - only real flaw of the stuff included since I broke a switch while wiring it up.  I put a regular cherry switch in and it still works, but not as well.  Would definitely recommend adding a new switch.
- box of misc buttons/switches (mechanical - no leafs).
- player 1 and 2 buttons that have been pushed a whole 10 times each or so.
- IPAC 2
- Florescent light in the marquee area
- monitor (nope, it is not a TV, but would work as one as it has a built in tuner as well) - just bought @ the thread here:
http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=94034.0
works very well.  Has VGA in so no need for a breakout cable.  Goes up to 800x600.
- I pc of the brownish smoked plexi (32"x42"), a pc of clear plexi (30"x36"), and a golden tee fore overlay
- I'll toss in 4 (5 if I can find Namco museum) xbox games - miway arcade treasures 1 & 2, capcom classics, and Tecmo classics

Now, I know this isn't worth what I have in it.  I figure I have roughly $600 in it.  I think $300 would be fair considering that all you really need to make is a new control panel (the one on there was just to gt playing, I know it's garbage), a bezel, and a marquee and you're set.  There are enough buttons and switches here to make a basic 2 player panel, you just need another stick.

Pics are attached.  Let me know if I can answer any questions.  Obviously I won't ship it, but would deliver in the cleveland area as long as we can work out payment arrangements.  Would also talk about delivery options elsewhere, but I don't want to drive to like Columbus, or IN or something.

** edit ** Will also throw in a Mat Mania Jamma board
