Help, ideas for mounting control panel.
« on: July 28, 2009, 08:06:21 pm »
Right now im my shed I have a Defender cabinet and I'm doing a bit of modification to it. it is 26" wide, 26.125" if you include siding.

Here is the link to a better image

I'm installing a 4 player control panel using the designs this guy used

http://www.webbpickersgill.com/mame/controlpanel.asp

We made ours on the fly and the dimensions came out like this and is 4.75 Inches tall total

Does anyone have any mounting ideas for this badboy? So far i came up with two ideas.

One is cutting out a 26.125" wide slot in the control panel maybe 3" to 5"deep to fit AROUND the arcade cabinet and use some sort of detachable hook system and the other option is using an electric hand saw to modify the cabinet itself.

My main goal is to make the control panel modular that way it will be easier to move around the entire cabinet. I know all of this information is unprofessionally displayed but if you guys are willing and ask questions maybe we can come up with a good design. Thanks in advance, Newcomer Jaggar.
