MaLa jukebox
« on: June 04, 2009, 08:40:27 pm »
hi there. new to MaLa. loving it.

i'm interested in having a *very* simple jukebox... as we know, MaLa's is quite simple!

what's included would be just fine for me if only it would stop repeating the same song over and over. if it would shuffle that'd be great.. and Start=queue would be amazing  :)

..but is it just me having the one song repeat until i hit start on another one? is it really that rudimentary at this point? all i'm using is a small collection of MP3s in one directory. the list of them displays just fine.

I think most people use an external jukebox like wincab or skjukebox, I personally use wincab, its very easy to setup

surely more people tried MaLa's though? i quite like it except for it won't go to the next song.. which makes it pretty useless! but having it dead simple and in my MaLa layout is exactly what i was looking for (it isn't going to be used much).

hoping it's fixed in 1.6!  :notworthy:

mh12,

I am using Mala beta 1.62g.  When I first tried the jukebox, I experienced the same thing as you.  This was puzzling as I knew a few months ago, "Play all songs" worked.

After playing around a little bit, I got it to work by going to options and enabling:

Sounds and Music> Background Music> Repeat Playlist.

I reaffirmed by disabling "Repeat Playlist", and "Play all songs" stopped working.  Re-enabling it fixed it again.  Give it a shot.  If you get the same thing, we need to file a bug report with Loadman.

Rather than start a new thread, I'll just bump this one. Does anyone know of an external jukebox (or if Mala's jukebox supports it) that supports unicode mp3 filenames? All the jukebox programs I've tried only display those boxes instead of the actual characters.
