Bought a Turkey Hunter at auction and monitor doesnt work.  No neck glow but when powered up a loud hissing comes from main chasis.  Dont heat 'ticking' it is trully like air leaking from a tire.  Any thoughts??

Blown flyback comes to mind.  Turn off the lights and check to see if you see arcing.

Get a paper towel roll and put it to your ear.  Narrow down where the sound is coming from.

Might be a cap.

Pulled chasis this morning and found no obvious blown caps or resistors.  As I have never had a blown flyback, I dont notice any cracks or leaks.  I still have a sound like 'static noise' coming from area of flyback.  Til I get a new flyback and cap kit is there anything else I should look for??
