Punchout Button

I'm looking for a Punch Out button, the big spring button in the lower right corner.



Anyone know where I can buy something like this?

I think I've seen something like that for industrial purposes like operating lifts, mounted on walls and the like.

yeah I have seen similar buttons in our server bays for the emergency power down kill buttons. 

Does anyone know where we can buy them?

I can get the cp for $60, I'm just trying to determine if I could build it cheaper.

FWIW, I've seen a number of these types of switches on industrial equipment, but never with a big, heavy spring under it like appears to be the case here.  If that's what that is, then it's likely a special mod of the aforementioned industrial buttons.  Those buttons usually aren't cheap either.

More Info:

These buttons are called "Mushroom Head" or "Mushroomhead" switches.  You want the momentary type, which are a little less common than the twist or pull type emergency stops.  If the blue one on that panel has a big spring under it, it's possible that it was a retrofit of push / pull to turn it into momentary.  If you get a regular momentary, you shouldn't need to worry about the spring.

But again, they run about $30 each, so you might just be ahead of the game by buying the panel.

I think I will go with the cp.  It does need new artwork, but in the end it could be cheaper than buying a stick, buttons, and then that one big 'knockout' button.

FYI, I found the original manufacturer of the button and it is still made today and comes with a mounting bracket.  The post is over at KLOV if you want to search for it.

Those buttons are designed to take a ton more abuse than a regular button.

The more I think about it, this could be my key to fixing my eighth button screw up.

Meaning, I free handed drilled the hole and it is just a little off...so better to replace it with something really really gaudy??

What are some other games that have a slam dunk kind of button that you just want to bang and go "IN YOUR FACE"?

That gives a better view.  Just a chrome bezel, so no extra springs (if it's the real deal, that is)

Looks like any industrial style mushroomhead momentary will do the trick.  The price seems about the going rate on these.....

How do you order from them?  Their NA website is very confusing. 

And in the KLOV thread it says you have to register a certain color.  How do you do that?  I'd like to test a red one out.

Which part are you having trouble with?  They have a phone number listed on the website.  I picked up the phone and called them.

As far as registering the part, originally when I called to purchase the part I was denied because it wasn't for sale in North America.  I had to ask them to register it for sale in North America to get them to start the process.  I was told that my request may be denied, but I tried anyways.  I'm not sure if you have to register the part for a different color, but they do have a slightly different part #.  Registering the part also allows you to order the part through distributors in North America.

I think red or green may look good on a Punch-Out.  If you get a different colored one post some pics.
