building mame cabinet need some help
« on: March 03, 2002, 06:23:04 pm »
k i'm using an nfl blitz cabinet with what i beleive is a 32" monitor.   i'm going to use the jpac to interface for the video and controls  (will that be ok?)  i'm just concerned about the video.  i have a medium resolution monitor.  my other concern is blitz had the 49 way digital controllers which need to be replace so i'm going to have to rewire them.  how?  the conncetors go to the motherboard and are labeled player 3,4.  am i going to have to cut these wires and splice them in with there respective connection on the jamma side of the harness?  any suggestions or general help would be appreciated.  i'm going to order the j-pac as soon as i know it's the right thing to order.  could i use the opti-pac to somehow interface with the digital controls?
