« on: July 01, 2003, 03:58:28 pm »
Hi,

I have bought a 12key STORM pad for my jukebox.. i also have a I-Pac in which i want to also use..

Anyone else used the same method?.. if so any help on connecting the 2 together would be much appreciated.

Cheers

As far as I know the Storm keypad is a matrix setup there are no separate switches for the ipac to connect to.   You might want to email Andy and ask him how to best interface a matrix to the IPAC.  The one matrix keyboard that  I remember was interfaced to a hacked keyboard controller because they are already set up for a matrix.   If you have the number and can get a data sheet you can verify if it is a matrix or or is the other type and has a common ground available.

I was looking into those, but the only way to make it work (since it is a "grid" design) is to connect it to a hacked keyboard (which is also a "grid" design").

Here is what I used.  A little small, and not illuminated, but it does the job, costs less, and is very easy to hook to an Ipac/KeyWiz:

Lotsa luck,
