Thanks for the advice on the auction!
« on: June 28, 2003, 09:08:08 pm »
I picked up Operation Wolf for a bargain!  $75!  YAY!  Superauctions.com is teriffic!  Okay, so now I'm going to be starting up my conversion project soon.  Basically, it'll require scrapping the game, all the guts, the gun, the marquee, and the monitor.  I'll take picture of them all soon and post them here, in case anyones interested in buying it.
We tried powering it on at the auction, but it didn't seen to work, though I'm sure some of the more clever regulars here could get it up and running.

It was really fun!  All the people were friendly, and the first two hours you could play with all the games.  Even if you aren't gonna buy anything, free plays for two hours is pretty great.

The auctioneer said they'd be back in November, and I'll definately be there.  The average price for the arcades went from around $300 to $500, the most expensive being a Ms. Pac Man for $1150.  Plenty of pinball machines, too!

Overall, it was great.  Too bad you missed it, but they'll be back soon enough.
