I have secured an old PC from a family member with an ATI Radeon 9000 64MB and I am trying to get it to recognize my CRT TV as the main monitor through S-video. But with the most up to date drivers and Catalyst Control Center (CCC), when I set the TV as the main monitor and restart, the settings don't stick and the computer restarts only recognizing my computer monitor via VGA. WTF. I tried an older driver, I forget what version, but it didn't allow you to set the TV as the main monitor, you could only turn that connection on after booting up via VGA monitor. Has anyone here had this problem before with ATI video cards and drivers? I did come across a few google searches where people did have a problem with new ATI drivers and the CCC not saving settings and controls. But no solutions were found that help my cause.
I have another PC with an ATI Radeon 9550 XL 256MB and when I set the TV as the main monitor in CCC its settings have managed to stick so I still have a working MAME machine, but it would be great to get the other one working too. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
