I was justa about to order the 5 /64 slot cutter so that I could trim my new control panel with t-molding. Since I am in Canada this was a bit larger hassle.
Just before doing this I checked my local tool stores and the smallest I could find was a 3 wing 1/8 inch slot cutter. It did remind me however of another tool that I had.
I used my Ryobi DBJ50 Detail Biscuit Joiner to cut the slot and the t molding fit perfectly. It was a pressure fit and had to be seated with a rubber mallet. If you are not familiar with a Biscuit Joiner it cuts a small semicircular slot that you place glue and biscuits into to make frames and small cabinets. Norm on PBS uses them all the time. The slot can be adjusted for various wood widths so all I did was make many overlapping cuts with the joiner and a perfect slot was formed. It is also the perfect tool for putting together the boxes for stand alone control panels.
Just thought I would share my experience in case someone outhere has this particular model of Biscuit Joiner. It makes the slots for the really small biscuits.
