Monitor ID and Questions

Over the weekend I picked up a couple of redemption games in pretty decent cabs.  The guy said they have WG U3000 monitors in them.  I want to verify that these are U3000s.  One powered up fine but has a mashed pin on the vga cable and was very blurry and couldn't correct it with the focus knob on the chassis.  When I powered the other one up I got a giant spark looked like it was coming from the switch but I'm not a 100% sure.  Upon closer inspection tonight looks like they pulled the bottom section off of the cabinet and screwed it back on.  The screw goes right through a bundle of power wires on the left side of the cab.  I'm thinking that might be where the sparks came from, but I'm not seeing any burning around the screw.  Hopefully I didn't cook the monitor.  Looking at the WG site I should be able to wire this direct to a standard power cable with no iso transformer needed.  I saw that these do have an in line power filter is that necessary or can I bypass it?  The monitors do have some burn in.  If I put them behind tinted glass/plexi will that help hide the screen burn?  Let me know if you need additional pictures of any parts.

Look for a "Pxx" number on the main chassis....that'll help identify it quicker.
Would be like a P736, P828, might even have a long number like PD193100 or PPD193102.

If it had a VGA connector, then most likely is a U3000 or similar.
What size monitors are they? (19", 25", etc)

I wouldn't bypass the filter.....that may just create interference on the monitor.
Fix the "screwed" wires and check fuses.

Tinted glass/plexi will hide a considerable bit of the burn if it isn't toooo bad.
Also depends on how dark you go with it and you'll have to adjust the brightness up a tad to compensate for the dark glass.

Monitor 2 the one that sparked works fine.  I hooked it up to the power from the 1st cab no problems.  Has horrible pincushion but works.  I took the vga cable from cab 2 and hooked it up in cab 1, monitor is still very blurry and the focus knob on the flyback had little or no effect.  I took some more pictures of the numbers I saw on the chassis.  I saw P805 and 85X0414-001A.  It is a 27" monitor so sounding more like U3000.  The monitor in cab 1 isn't burnt too bad.  Monitor 2 is pretty bad.  Any recommendations on tint percentage?  From other posts I have read people generally use 30% greylite.  How would you suggest wiring in the filter?  I'm planning on using a smart strip and getting rid of the toggle switch.  I was just going to hack up a computer power cable and hook it to the harness going to the power board.   Thanks for the help, I'm starting to get a little more confident with arcade monitors.

Looks like you have a 27K3033 chassis. (which would be the U3000 series)

Thanks, so what about wiring the filter and tint percentage?  Is the flyback gone on the first monitor or is there something else I can adjust for focus?
