FS: MAME Cab - £30 [UK - Midlands]
« on: February 20, 2009, 12:16:47 pm »
I'm moving house in the next week and I can't take my MAME cab with me so I'm looking to sell it.

I partially stripped it for parts to fund my cocktail project but it would still make a good base for a MAME project.

This is the original project announcement. Its not very picture heavy as I didn't find this site until after I had built it.

This is the current state of the cab:

As you can see the coin door has been removed and so has the controls. I also removed four 120mm fans from the back.

A 4-player happ coin door would bolt back in place and the CP could easily be repopulated or you could build another CP as there is a shelf for the CP to sit on.

I'm going to leave in the Pioneer 6x9 speakers, marquee/light, monitor bezel, castors, keyboard drawer, keyboard switch plate etc. I will also include a 21" CRT monitor that fits the bezel perfectly.

I'm not asking much for the cab, just £30 or so. If it doesn't sell I'm going to chop the cab up  (:'() and recycle the material for other projects. I would like to see it go to a good home so the £30 would just cover a couple of sheets of MDF.

Thanks for looking.

Shipping to the US is only £500  ;D

If there is no interest I may try my luck on ebay. I need this thing gone fast though, hence the price.

Man, I can't see why no one would snatch it. (Except me, of course.)

Hi

I'd be interested if its still available? Where abouts do you live in the Midlands? Would it fit in a car? Could it be taken to pieces? Any chance of sending it via courier?

Sorry for all these questions but this might be what I'm looking for!

That really is a steal!

Throw in some joys, some buttons, a coin door, a 24" CRT and a nifty PC and you have an awesome piece of kit. You could finish it completely with a few quid easily!

I'll make you an offer you can't refuse! £40....... for the pinky? >:D
