« on: June 25, 2003, 09:12:27 am »
Hi,

Does anyone know if Arcade VGA will work with the  Act Labs light gun?

You might have found the answer to this already, but I'm told this will work with the USB VGA version of the gun (not the TV version).  Hope that helps.

Also, If you want two guns, Act-Labs has a dual gun system in the works (probably released end of this year).  Or you can try using Analog+ MAME with DOS, Win98 or WinME.  (see some other threads on this)

I have heard that the Act Labs gun requires 31Khz mode, not 15Khz mode, which the ArcadeVGA puts out.

I have a arcade monitor, arcadevga, and an act labs light gun, and yes
it works.  I wouldnt call it sooper accurate but I can't say where that issue
lies.  Some games work flawlessly and other are just ok. This may be a
mame issue for all I know.  Anyhow..... It works pretty good as far
as i'm concerned.
