4player Xmen (part) mamed cab in Austin
« on: July 11, 2003, 10:12:08 am »
I have a four player xmen cabinet that I have partially modded.
It at one point was completely working, but I had to take it apart to move it down the stairs ::)  It includes two IPACs that I am using usb style right now.  An older 20" trinitron monitor - games look nice on it.  4 joysticks - two with 6 buttons two with 3 buttons & 4 start buttons (Total of 22 buttons).

The cabinet itself is in good condition - it was at one point a simpsons that had been roller painted black and converted to a X-men (marquee).  There is a spot on the front that is cracked, but not really noticeable - would go away with some wood fill/paint.  I installed appliance wheels so it is very mobile on smooth ground almost got away from me in the driveway!  It is HEAVY though esp with monitor inside.

I am going to have to move into an apartment so my choices are sell or store, but I dont think it will live well in storage...  The pc is not included, but really is the only thing needed to make the cabinet work.  The monitor needs to have a bezel created for it - thats really all.
I will not split components - it is all or nothing unless you want to pay enough for all and throw it away down the street which I wouldn't appreciate either :-\

How is the monitor mounted? Is it braced in there or does it sit on a shelf? Is it noticeable to have such a small monitor in such a large machine?

*chants* PICS! PICS! PICS!

That's a good freaking deal. If I were by you, I would come get it despite not even needing it.

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers what the universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.
