Terminator 2 Multiball problem
« on: December 12, 2008, 02:11:27 pm »
Hi guys i am about to purchase a terminator 2 pinball probably tommorow, they guy says the only thing wrong with it is that the multiball part doesnt eject an extra ball. I was wondering if this is common with these, or is it a easy fix. I dont know much at all about pinballs  :dunno so i was hoping somebody could help me out. Thanks

Could be lots of reasons for that, most simple.

I went and picked it up today, so when i get home i will try and take a look at it. He said he didnt know much about pinballs but he had a friend that did and said the diagnostic thing on it told him that the sensor in the rotating gun had gone bad or something along those lines. Where would i get parts for this thing?

Go to google groups: rec games pinball for help.  Ask for help there and you will find it.  If it is a switch then it just may need to be replaced, could be a coil not firing the ball, but probably a sensor or switch.  Do you have a manual for the game.  You can go into the service menu and try to figure it out.

This is a great site to find info on how to fix pinball machines.

I own 6 of them and I can tell you at some point something goes wrong on them.

Like I said before post over at the google group for pinball and you should find help for your machine.

Well i got it home expecting to open it up and see some alien things going on inside but it was just switches like arcade buttons but smaller  :dunno ... I looked at the gun part and there was a resistor that had came unsoldered. Put that back together and it plays like new. SO happy it was only that...

That's great news!

I bought a LOTR's recently that had a bunch of problems.  Got them fixed and having fun.  They can be a pain sometimes, but when you fix them it is so gratifying.

Warning: They can get to be addictive.

I started with 2, then 3, then 4 now 6.

Although one on my friends has over 20 but I'll never get there.
