I think the post subject sums it up pretty well...

Where can I find a top-fire joysticks and how much do they cost? (I don't want a contoured "gripped" stick. I want a stick with ab utton on the top like the kind used in SlikStik CO2's.)

Someone needs to teach Bob Roberts some ASP. Looking through that site takes effort.  :-\ Once he got it all set up, it would probably be easier to maintain, too.

But then it wouldn't be fun.  That's part of the fun of going through bob roberts.  It's so flea market feeling :)

http://www.happcontrols.com has some for around $30 (but check with Bob Roberts as he may have the same thing for cheaper).  Also Wico has some for around $11 (see here http://www.wicothesource.com/new2/pages/page88.htm).

Well it wouldn't work too well considering he hosts on a freebsd box...  Maybe php or perl solution would be better.

Maybe some kind soul could offer to create/setup a system for him.

Although his stock probably doesn't change that offten to necessitate the type of dynamic site you are proposing (all though a facelift wouldn't hurt)

*Shrug*  Did you come here to whine about web site design or to look for a top fire button? =P (i'm just teasing, i've been known to whine about poor site design too...)

does anyone know how the super-8 topfire joysticks from happs function in games like marvel vs capcom where quick, twitchymovement is used? also, how do these mount (i have only mounted j-sticks --BINGO! Either that, or I was attempting to say "before" but it was too many letters to type--)?
It's all about the Pentiums

They mount with four screws just like the regular supers.

I don't play fighters (except for Warrior) so I can't answer the other part of your question.
Real Life.  Still a poor substitute for video games!
