MAME Videos...
« on: December 20, 2008, 07:44:44 am »
Sorry for another video question, not sure if this is a Mala issue or if it's a video issue...

I'm capturing videos within MAME as MNG file.  Using aexmng2avi  to convert those to uncompressed AVI files, no sound.

While they are large, they play fine in Mala.  When I convert them to be smaller, using VirtualDub and the XVID compression, they still play fine in other apps, but in Mala, they play once fine, but then the second time through (they loop automatically I assume) the "old" video isn't cleared correctly.

So, as an example, I cappted a shot video of the beginning of Donkey Kong.  He grabs the girls, climbs the ladder makes the first level, smiles, then "How High will you go?" appears.  The video loops at that point and I still see the "How High will you go?" and then just the area around where he's climbing the ladder.  It stay like this until he makes the level and all of the sudden the "How High will you go"finally gets erased.

Any thoughts?  Is it the profile I'm using, is there a length of the video that needs to be, etc...

Good job though on the front end, I like it!  Just made a couple cabinets recently, trying to finish them up, this site has been invaluable..
