New Video Issue - Loss of Control
« on: November 07, 2008, 03:20:59 pm »
I've come across a new video issue in MALA.  It's actually not new,  but it's pretty minor so I never mentioned it.  Sometimes (usually at load up or when returning from an external program),  MALA becomes unresponsive for a period of time... then "catches up" after a while having saved all movements, etc in a buffer.

After really examining the behavior,  it seems that when this happens,  MALA becomes unresponsive for a single run of the video being played on screen... it then relinquishes control back to MALA at which time whatever "inputs" you put in during the unresponsive time period are then carried out (as if it was buffering them).  It happens maybe 20-30% of the time.... and again,  usually upon load up or after returning from an external program (including MAME).

It seems that the last version of VideoLab is .NET only.

Do plan to migrate Mala to .NET?

I must be seeing things because it looks like there is a Delphi version of VideoLab 3.1 at the link Loadman posted above.  Can you link to what you are talking about?

I also see that the version 4.0 is 'coming soon'.  Maybe I should wait for that?  :dunno
