I and several other local arcade collectors went to a "monitor seminar" yesterday at
Nieman Displays. (Small company local to me in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada). Rick Nieman there really knows his stuff. He was an engineer at Electrohome back in the early 80's and was part of the team responsible for the famous G07. (Rest of his career is just as prolific).
His seminar was a dry run for one he is going to present in Las Vegas for technicians. He covered most of the basic parts, general troubleshooting techniques, misconceptions, best practices, and then he demonstrated how a monitor's screen is set up for best picture (he adjusted everything including the yoke rings).
Anyways, not to get too spammy but he sells monitors and chassis, and can provide more reliable replacement chassis for almost any monitor. He's not really a "store" type business for individuals (more of a supplier for manufacturers of arcade games, etc) but you may want to consider him an option for monitors or new chassis, or even "open frame" LCD monitors. (He had one on display that does 1600p!) and has tube monitors that were perfectly flat.
Anyways, here's his humble site:
