Control Panel Designer
« on: June 14, 2003, 06:49:15 am »
Hey all,
Does anyone remember awhile back someone had posted a "designer" that they had made in MS word I beileve? (wasn't visio) It was rather basic but it worked real well. You could add/remove buttons, joysticks, spinners, ect... and move them around to where you wanted. I think it even printed out to scale when you were done also. I know I had the link saved at one time but I can't find it anywheres. If the author or someone who has it would please post it, I'd be real greatful!

Thanks Lilwolf, I have that one already. For some reason it doesn't work right on my system (it's probably me). The undo and the clear only work right about half the time. Sometimes the undo will clear my last step, sometimes it will clear a step from 3 moves ago or it won't undo at all. When that happens the clear button won't even remove the mark. It's very fustrating. I was hoping for that MS Word one. :)

Although admittedly the learning curve is a lot steeper, I think in the long run you'd be better off with a proper CAD program.

I used TurboCAD learning edition to design my panel and would recommend it. The program can be downloaded for free from http://www.imsisoft.com/free/

Thank-you also Grasshopper, I will take some time and see if I can figure that out. Looks very cool 8), and I love the free bit!

Meanwhile, now that the weekend is over anyone else seen that "designer" I was talking about in my earlier post?  :)
