Donkey Kong 3 resto

Figured I would document this process.  Got the cab cheap, but it was beat to hell, but worked.  I decided with the artwork being the color it was, the orange cab wasnt going to cut it.  Progress so far....

Start:

Now:

Still to do:  T-mold, Restore the coin door.

I think the red cab looks great with the art work.

Nice, the red is a perfect match.  I actually like the game.

Could you get a close up shot of the paint?

BTW, that is a lot of PEZ dispensers.

That looks good in red.  Did DK3 have an instruction sticker like DK and Jr.? (not the one on the control panel, the one below the bezel)

My current collection:  Arkanoid^3, Asteroids Deluxe, Centipede, Donkey Kong w/DIIK, Frenzy w/Berzerk multi, Galaga, Galaxian, Gyruss, Mappy,  Missile Command, Multi-Williams, O'Boyles Arcade (Mame), Pac-man,  Sinistar, Star Wars, Tempest, War Gods

2600 - I'll get some close up pics of the paint.  Its called "safety red" by Rustoleum.  Pre-mixed so its easy.

Spy - there were never DK3 instruction stickers for the bezel.  I wish someone would create one.  Sadly, I dont think this game is popular enough to gain interest.
