Not only did it fool a lot of people but a few of them actually considered themselves good friends of it because they needed so badly to talk to someone. I pulled the plug on it after a while because I was afraid a couple of people were going to get really hurt if they found out it wasn't a real person. It was amazing how little it took to fool some people and how badly some of them just needed someone to be interested in their life.

There’s just no other reason why the astronauts who can keep a station worth billions of dollars functioning in space can't get the urine recycler to work.
It must be a zero gravity thing, because the engineers who designed it on Earth using lab rats to test/drink the water didn't have any problems with it.
